Fleet Marine Life #142 – IHateTheUSMC
I’ve always wondered the day when USMC high command would move to shut down www.IHateTheUSMC.com. The Marine Corps often times focuses on the symptoms of problems instead of actual problems themselves.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against the website. I enjoy reading the stories on that website since they’re legitimate complaints about the Corps written by real Marines. Plus, this website is a gold mine for comic writing since I honestly can’t make up half the shit I write.

Instead of taking these stories and making the Corps a better place, most higher ups found on IHateTheUSMC.com (Sgts and above) typically spew out illiterate nonsense against those who talk poorly about current USMC policies.

Feel free to correct me, but as funny as it all is, I can’t help but agree with those bashing on the haters.
You enlist expecting all this glamorous BS. You return home from boot camp feeling like a glorified god with a rifle for a dick. And then when you bitch and moan about how much your life sucks. Clearly somebody’s doing something right if they can put up with the bullshit and keep their lives in check for multiple contracts. You can’t put all the hate on the MC even if it’s the recipe for your disaster story.
I wouldn’t say that everyone, including me, has pure hatred for the USMC. More like a deep disliking towards it and its strange policies and regulations. In response to certain policies, often times, I’m just standing there saying the words, “Wait… what?!” Like most people on that hilarious website, they want to shame the Corps into changing certain policies and/or attitudes.
i enlisted expecting a elite unit when what i got was a bitchy little army that speaks navy lingo. i expected a band of brothers and what i got was hazing from a bunch of half wits i wouldn’t hire to flip burgers. i didn’t think i was a god when i got out of boot camp because i have a brain and instantly recognized how half assed the training was. the fact is the corps lies about what it’s like and about what it really is as a institution. and finally most everyone who reenlists is a career bureaucrat not a warrior. they are doing it for the money.
I love this one. I’ve been waiting for the day that S puts up some info that the corps is attacking him for the site too. We could have some fun on that day… Oh yes marine corps, we’ll play games.
